Bower Center for the Arts // Interactive Design, Wordpress Development
The Bower Center for the Arts is a non-profit exhibition space, art education center, and performance hall located in the small mountain town of Bedford, Virginia. The center is facing steep competition with local art centers in Lynchburg and Roanoke, VA. As such, the center required a new and sophisticated website.
The center relied on do-it-yourself HTML programs to create content and keep their visitors informed. To remedy the lack of cohesion and provide a more efficient channel for updates, I designed and developed a custom WordPress theme for the center’s use. The versatile theme allowed the center to update their website within a few clicks.
The website features revolving headers and a sophisticated, yet simple, archive system.
