Where Is The Art In This? // Poster Design, Postcard Design, Custom Type
A poster and showcard designed for the VCU MFA Photography open studios. VCU is well-known for its excellent Photography MFA program, focusing on the conceptual approach. The name of the event, “Where is The Art In This?,” was a departure point for the project. This quote, a question asked by one of the professor’s in every critique, served as the basis for the inspiration.
Traditional, clean type was disregarded. To emphasize the existential question a quirky, hand-type approach was used to give a voice of exploration, uniqueness, and the “wonkyness” an artist experiences as they try and find their voice.
