An Anonymous Social Experiment

The events of the past decade have been bloody, disasterous, and propserous. It goes without saying that there are thousands of adjectives that could be used to describe the 2000-2009 decade. Without a doubt, we have all been influenced by political, social, and economical changes. The question, however, is that many timelines that are cropping up at this time of the year are recaps of the most important events. What makes an event important? Where do these media outlets get their data? These are my questions. To answer them, I want to create a timeline that contains events from this past decade that are submitted by users planetwide. The hopes are to create an intriguing, all inclusive timeline of all the submitters to this project.
